“My 13-day Concierge Tour was simply wonderful. Traveling with Traveling Soul Tours was a splendid choice. Our Concierge and Guide team were so knowledgeable, patient and fun! We saw so many unique places which were magnified by our guide’s unbelievable knowledge and love of Scotland. The small group size (5) and being so flexible in where we went and what we saw made it the best vacation ever. One day, our guide made an unplanned detour to walk us through Inverewe Garden, a beautiful National Trust botanical garden, that we never would have seen if not for his knowledge and kindness. I feel this is a must-do trip for anyone who loves history.”

“A Traveling Soul Tours trip is so special because they really listened to the needs, likes, and wishes of our group and worked that into our itinerary… shopping, history, top-notch restaurants, Highland coos… everyone’s wish list was satisfied. My favorite moment on the Concierge Discovery Tour was exploring a hidden gem on Orkney Island. We waded across a causeway at low tide to reach the ancient Norse island of Brough of Birsay. We were at the top of Scotland, so remote and far away from stuff! I loved it. This trip was fun and unique because we toured a wide range of the country, not just a long stay in one city. We really visited and got to know the Scottish culture, with the help of our experienced guide.”

“This was the most magical trip I have ever taken! I have traveled to over 34 countries and this was the best trip!!! Amanda Todd, our guide, did a wonderful job. She knew great places to eat with fabulous food, she told us about the history of the areas we were in and it was fun!!! We laugh a lot!!! The accommodations were great... clean rooms, warm, inviting and had a hair dryer! I loved the instant hot water pot in every room... making tea in the evening and coffee in the morning was a plus for me! And I must say our driver, Ryan Forbes, was great as well! I felt completely safe with his driving the terrain and he took great care of all of us. He also added information and great photo opts during the trip. I hope we have him on our next trip in 2026!”

“I so appreciate Traveling Soul Tours for a wonderful trip to Scotland. The small private group gave it a personal, relaxed flavor. We enjoyed unique and lovely accommodations, fantastic food and some adventuresome days. It was a unique travel experience because it was obvious that the concierge and guide were on our schedule and agenda, not theirs. Our thoughtful guide made it evident that his desire was for us to enjoy our trip! He was very attentive, knowledgeable beyond my expectations, friendly, and accommodating with our luggage and time schedules. Some highlights of my tour were the many castles (Dunrobin, Sterling) with unbelievable gardens and the beautiful villages (Kirkwall, Plockton, Dornoch) with their great food and fun shopping.”

“We took this specific trip to make our first trip to Scotland because we wanted to learn more about Asheville’s Sister Cities, and to meet some others from the Asheville area. In that respect the trip met our goals. We were very pleased with our guide Stevie. We were disappointed that at some of the major tour sites, where Stevie could not accompany us, that private guides were not arranged. We were pleased with the efforts made by Stevie and Tish in visiting Asheville, twice, prior to the trip. The tour bus was excellent as was the driver, John. The included meals were very good to excellent. The pub meal and entertainment in Inverness was especially noteworthy. The disappointments we had were primarily in the hotels chosen.”

“We enjoyed an outstanding 8-Day Concierge Tour with Traveling Soul Tours. My wife and I went with our good friends and our guide and concierge excellently looked after us all! The private small group was perfect for us to see and do exactly what we wanted. Our guide had an expert knowledge of Scottish history and was eager to share, making the trip extremely interesting. He was very accommodating in all aspects of assisting, either with baggage or a change-up in the itinerary due to our preferences. The transportation was excellent and the team went out of their way to make each day special. My favorite memories are the Isle of Skye with its rugged mountains, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and experiencing the famed Highland Games. We had so many laughs and wonderful moments – many thanks to our guide and concierge!”

“Wonderful trip! We went to out-of-the-way places as well as big attractions. We were treated royally with the best accommodations and meals. Our guide Stevie provided great insight and perspective on the Scottish culture, history, and geography. He took us to the most interesting distilleries, castles, and towns. We saw tremendous scenery. We learned about daily life in Scotland while touring centuries-old restored villages and castles. His discussions were interesting and his stories heartfelt. He kept us on a relaxed yet efficient schedule and we were always informed of the timeframe and had options. We saw more and had more activities than could ever could imagine. We were able to make meaningful connections throughout Scotland. A trip with Stevie is a delight and an experience to be savored.”

“Our guide Lorna was superb; knowledgeable, responsive and thoughtful. Kirkwall Hotel was right on the water, historic and a good restaurant. It also was a bit shopworn and the lift was out for all three days we were there – an inconvenience since we were in the third floor. Had understood that all airport transportation costs were prepaid but we had to pay for cabs to Orkney, and to and from Edinburgh airports.”

“What a fabulous trip around Scotland!! Especially when I consider the requested itinerary and budgetary constraints specified by the UNCA / sister Cities partners (all of which prompted other travel groups to decline the bid), we hardy travelers were gifted a spectacular tour at a remarkably affordable rate. This was a well-curated tour, and it catered to the request of starting with 3 nights in Dunkeld-Birnam for Sister City activities (with a timely overlap of the Birnam Highland Games - swoon!!). We then moved counterclockwise around Scotland with overnight stops in Inverness, Isle of Skye, Oban and Edinburgh. Our high-energy travel hostesses Tish and our superbly knowledgeable Scottish native Stevie made certain we saw the best of what this lovely, rugged country and its resilient people have to offer. It’s amazing to think we could fit so many fabulous destinations, incredible sights, delightful restaurants (and, oh... the whisky!!) into 10 days.”
